Thanks

Hi

I have the following problem after installing the ad2usb on address 18 on a Vista 48B (European version of the Vista 20P) :

On the Keypad I receive the following message:
"Tamper alert 118"

With COMPASS I receive the follwing message:
"ECP Device Failure"

In the event log I got the following message:
"E-333-Expansion modul 118"

I tried to install the ad2usb also on address 19.
Same error messages.

The strange thing is that I could do a installer login via the virtual keypad.

I have a wired keypad 6460 on address 16 and a wireless keypad 5839 on address 17.

Without the ad2usb it works fine.

I have add ad2usb with COMPASS with the following settings:
Device Type = Console
Parameter 1 Type = HomePartition
Parameter 1 = 1
Parameter 2 Type = 2
Parameter 2 = Disabled

Has anyone an idea or tips what went wrong.
Thanks a lot for the help

Best regards
J

What else is connected to your panel? Is it possible some other device is using that address already? Please confirm what fields are used on this panel in programming mode to enable keypad address 18.

You say you connect via compass are you using a modem to connect?

There is definitly no other device on address 18 or 19.

Yes I use the Ademco CIA 2400 modem and Compass to do the setup.

The following addresses are occupied:
adress 00 the wireless repeater.
address 12/13 two relays module.

address 16 wired keypad
address 17 wireless keypad

According to the programming manual:
*190/*191 Compass did the correct programming.

Is there a restriction of 2 keypads per partition?
Because I use only partition 1 in my system.

I can remember when I tried to hook up a third keypad (wireless)that I encounter similar problem.
I had to removed it from the system.

Very strange.

What happens when I use the same address like 16 or 17 for the ad2usb?

Thanks for the help.

Best regards

Any luck on this issue? I have looked at this several times and I can not think of any reason why this would be happening.

If you want to further debug this I would suggest opening up a ticket on our support system This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it so I can provide specific steps to generate logs for me to look at.
