Additional software

Sec. 1) Console Upload Utility
You can upload firmware using the AD2USBGUI or this console utility. It will work on Windows or Linux/OSX/Unix. You must run this from a DOS shell on windows or a console on MAC/Linux. With MAC/Linux you need MONO to run this.

firmwareupload COM6 115200 mynewfirmware.hex

Sec. 2) USB to IP Reflector (ser2sock)

the ser2sock utility will listen to your ad2usb on the USB port and then relay (reflect) all data between the USB port and an IP socket. This allows you to have multiple applications (such as the MonoGUI) communicating with the ad2usb, and also locate the ad2usb remotely from the applications that use it.

ser2sock can be run on Linux, FreeBSD, Windows and MacOS. It can also be used with embedded devices such as a Linksys router with a usb port running Linux bsd or other posix compliant operating systems.

File Name: ser2sock.c
File Size: 15965

The file ad2usbgui.exe.config contains the com port data.
You will need to set this to the address the AD2USB devices is connected to.

On Windows this would be somethign like this.
<add key="CommPort_Name" value="COM4"/>

On Linux this may be something like this.
<add key="CommPort_Name" value="/dev/ttyUSB0"/>

please read the ad2usbgui.exe.config file for more info as I do not have docs yet.
